Isgett Auction Marketing is pleased to offer at Sealed Bid Sale the stunningly beautiful furnishings from Lodge Room No. 1 at the Richmond, VA Scottish Rite Temple. The furnishings are owned by Metropolitan Lodge No. 11, and are being offered due to the potential sale of the Temple building.
The furnishings include beautiful and ornate mahogany officer’s stations, which have been in place since 1969. The three of which will be offered together as a whole. Deacon’s and Steward’s chairs, treasurer and secretary’s desks and chairs, Fellowcraft’s degree pillars, mahonany altar, 3 marble burning tapers, upholstered mahogany bench seating, bronze busts including that of John Dove, several ornately framed masonic portraits including George Washington, John Dove, John the Baptist and John the Evangelist. Staffs, degree furnishings, piano, officer’s chairs, officer’s gavel podiums, trestleboards, rough and perfect ashlars, and more.
Inspection of items will be by mutually agreed appointment, during normal business hours when the lodgeroom in not in use.
The bidding process will be by a competetive sealed bid. Prospective bidders are encouraged to make an appointment to inspect the furnishings, and submit maximum bids on items in writing, via mail or email to the auctioneers. The furnishings will be described and numbered in lots. Many lots will be individual items, but some will be grouped as one lot when appropriate, such as the officer’s stations, altar tapers and Fellowcraft degree pillars. Keep in mind that this is a competetive process and the lots will be awarded to the highest bidders.
The bidding process will tentatively end on July 5th, 2019 at 5pm. The sellers do however reserve the right reject any bids and extend the bidding time if deemed necessary.
